interior art / Exhibition
client: German Embassy Israel
project: exhibition in the Beit Hair Museum
concept, art: Old Yellow
Tel Aviv, 2017
In the exhibition "Random Beauties" at the Beit Ha'Ir Museum in Tel Aviv, we showed our wall paintings and installations. For two weeks we redesigned the entire building. We "took over" the exhibition space in such a way that the museum could be perceived as a coherent whole. We created works of art with chalk, acrylic paint, felt pens and spray cans as well as different materials everywhere, including on the floors and the facade. The result was a type of "harmonious chaos" as reported in the art supplement of the Israeli news newspaper "Haaretz," which praised us for our wonderfully orchestrated art installation. We hope to have sparked a dialogue and a cross-cultural connection between Israel and Germany and to contribute to a mutual understanding between our countries. In the middle of the exhibition space we built an art installation out of different materials that we had found while roaming the streets of Tel Aviv. The installation was also accessible to visitors via a platform.
We would like to thank the German Embassy for their financial support of this project.
